    Our flight......

    May 31, 2019 in Spain ⋅ ☀️ 32 °C

    Hola from Spain.

Jo and I safely arrived at 8.00am local time on 31-MAY-2019. It was an unevenful flight which is exactly what we wanted. The second leg did provide us with a couple of highlights though. Whilst waiting for our connecting flight, a young woman paraded around the terminal wearing her beauty treatment facial mask. Something I haven't seen before. Once on the plane, Miss germaphobic sat next to me. First, she put on her face mask, then her disposable gloves and she then proceeded to wipe down her entire area with anti-bacterial wipes. Something else I haven't seen before either. I wondered how serious she was so when I had the opportunity, I went to the toilet and put my hands over everything she had wiped over. I did the same on returning to my seat. Bingo!!!!!! She wiped everything down again. That was the signal for Vic to have some fun. I made it my place for the remainder of the flight to get up several times for a toilet visit. :-)

We were driven to our accommodation, dropped off our bags and went for a walk to fill in time until our room was ready. Shower, clean clothes and feeling like a hundred dollars (too tired for a million) we met up with our walking tour guide near the Opera House. She was interesting to say the least. We were shown different architecture and told about its history. Within a very short time we realised that everything she said focused on penis size, testicles (or the lack thereof) and breasts. We don't know if that was her own interpretation or the way it actually is.

Madrid is full of english soccer supporters who are in town for EUFA final between Tottenham Hotspurs and Liverpool. They certainly are loud and rowdy.

Sorry. Did I mention that there is not a cloud in the sky and it is a beautiful 31 degrees?

After this tour, we followed up with another which was a tapas bar crawl. Here, the main meal is not eaten until 9 or 10 at night so to see an empty restaurant at 8.00pm is normal. Beers, sangrias and tapas all after having not slept for over 24 hours. It was very enjoyable and we didn't disgrace ourselves.

    Off to bed.
