This morning we took an inter-island boat to Tresco and stayed on the island all day. The crossing in the morning was very windy and bumpy and we arrived cold and soaked through with spray. Fortunately the sun came out, warmed us up and dried off our clothes. We had a walk across the island for an hour or so, then down to the Tresco Abbey Gardens. Because the Gulf Stream brings warm water, the island can grow semi tropical plants and the Abbey gardens are renowned for this.Read more
