In Denham, we found a quiet fishing village with a great playground on the water and Emus roaming the streets!
On arrival in Kalbarri we spent the afternoon exploring a 3km, grade 4 hike along the ocean cliffs. The loop took us along a rugged trail with a range of rock formations from worm tubes to round boulders, banded colours of sandstone and a rock shaped like a mushroom. A great hike which brought out the adventurer in all of us (except Lachie, who had a good sleep for most of the way).Read more
On the way from Geraldton to Kalbarri we made a special stop at the Pink Lake in Port Gregory. It was interesting to see but the smell and the sting of the salt in the water made it unpopular with Jacob, who decided he only likes blue lakes.
