    Cowell

    May 21, 2019 in Australia ⋅ ☀️ 22 °C

As we left Lochiel we got another look at the Nessie sunning herself on the beach and she did look splendid.
We had a good drive ahead of us as we were aiming to pass Port Perie pass Port Augusta as well as Whyalla heading for Cowell, we were moving along ok until we came up behind a wide load (no not Kim Kardashian’s rear-end but nearly as wide) it was a bulldozer on a flatbed 5.5mts wide well it took about 30 kms before we had our turn to get passed it, well the relief was short lived as 40 kms up the road it was a real performance to pass its twin.
When we got to Cowell, Kay decided that the 2 caravan parks here are not close enough to the beach 🏖 (Kay wants to stay somewhere close to the sea to relax for a week) so we moved to the Lions club rest area for the night and will move on tomorrow to Arno Bay which is about 50kms further down the road.
