A day by the pool and two burnt tourists

    February 3, 2020 in Thailand ⋅ ☀️ 29 °C

So! Our first day in Phuket: It started off slow - but I get the feeling this is the last slow day of the holiday since we’ve booked ourselves solid up until the moment we leave. Some might be luxury sailing trips, some might be a moped road-trip around the island, but all in all it is incredibly promising.

Cape Panwa’s swimming pool is gorgeous, and we spent most of the morning there. It was hot, and as usually we underestimated the brutality of the non European sun, but I came prepared with stacks of Aloe Vera so I’m not worried (too much). We chilled for ages, and it was nice that you got bottomless water - which sounds silly to mention but a LOT of resorts only offer bottled water which you have to pay for and when it’s 30 degrees you go through a lot of them (ugh, money, ugh, plastic). They also brought around lilos and fruit skewers, so we spent the morning floating on cool waters under bright blue skies, fruit in one hand, water in the other, ice cubes clinking pleasantly under the bright sun.
