    No dolphins in Picton

    January 31, 2016 in New Zealand ⋅ ☀️ 18 °C

This is our third attempt to find dolphins - and we didn't have any luck
Were supposed to swim with them in the wild!!!!! And nothing EXCEPT we saw the tiniest dolphins - Hector Dolphins which we hoped to see in kayak in Akaroa
The whole morning was doomed - ask Greg how to get a fine for $300 from NZ cop and not because you drove on the wrong side if the road. Which we did 4mins before. I mean seriously - 5.30am cop catching you for speeding?!!! But we can call it another bucket list check - interaction with police in a foreign country. You haven't experienced the country if you didn't interact with authorities. Even if it's taking a pic in times square with NYPD.
So what can cheer you then? Right - WINE!!!
15 wines were tasted, 3 wineries explored.

    2 morals:
screw big preplanned tours - they are always underwhelming and disappointing(except bungy)
go to smaller wineries - people will be muuuuch nicer and experience will be more unique even if the wine is not that good. Which never happened to us. Smaller wineries we're the best. Don't you dare to go to oyster bay!

And we are on the ferry to Wellington from Pikton. Entering the same waters twice today
