Glenfalls
February 20, 2022 in New Zealand ⋅ ☁️ 20 °CWe drove to Glenfalls DOC camp, 8km off the Napier Taupo highway. It's a free camp next to the Mohaka River. There weren't a lot of people there and we were able to park right next to the river.
We drove to Glenfalls DOC camp, 8km off the Napier Taupo highway. It's a free camp next to the Mohaka River. There weren't a lot of people there and we were able to park right next to the river.
We stopped for lunch in Napier, parked by the beach at Bayview. We then carried on to the holiday park in Waipawa. We went for a bike ride on the Tukituki trail to Waipukurau.
After leaving Waipawa we stopped at Dannevirke Domain for a cup of tea by the lake. We then carried on to Pukaha Wildlife centre where we spent the whole afternoon. Highlights were:

We left Lake Brunner on Friday and stopped in Greymouth for lunch. We arrived at Rhonda and Stephen's in the afternoon. In the evening Rhonda took us for a walk to look at the glow worms.

I did a 3 hour horse trek at Rubicon Valley, it was a great ride with fantastic views, and was just me and the guide, Chris. Pete stayed behind and worked on his bike, and hung out with Chris' cat.Read more
