    June 10, 2019 in France ⋅ 🌧 13 °C

Well that's the end of the holiday, after an eventful journey through terrible weather conditions on this side of the channel, a delay to our tunnel crossing due to technical reasons plus the M25 living up to its reputation of a car park which added an hour to our journey of 2400 miles over 18 days.
    Thoughts on the journey,

DEB: I have really enjoyed this holiday although on first and last three days I think we did too much travelling, we need to adjust this next time. The scenery has been beautiful and the weather on the whole has been fabulous and there are towns we have visited that I wouldn't mind returning to. Length of time away was okay and I could have done the full three weeks but I have missed friends and family in particular one little person. Would I do it again, definitely.

MART: Pyrenees were very scenic, nice small towns and villages. Costa Brava is stunning and nowhere near overdeveloped like much of coastal Spain. Callela de Palfrugell was for me the highlight of the coast. France off the beaten track was very French with total disregard for anyone who didn't speak French, which for me had a certain appeal. Needed maybe another week or two, but hey, maybe next time.

Thanks to all for your interest and comments, now we won't have to bore you with telling you about it next time we meet!
