    Day at sea

    Today due to a change in our itinerary we are no longer visiting The Isles Of Scilly, due to bad weather is would be unsafe to use the tenders to get us ashore. We left Cobh at midnight and are traveling straight down to Guernsey, hence the full day at sea and no Internet, no WiFi, no reception infact bugger all. Good news though we have had two craft classes today which means we can take more time in Honfluer on Sunday. The weather has been dull and damp and we have had a rougher voyage than the rest of the trip, tablets have needed to be taken. After this afternoons class we went to watch the household staff making animals out of towel's, which we find on our room after they have been in the turn down the the beds. They wanted volunteers so I made a monkey and called him Jackson.Read more

    Cork

    When we left the ship we caught the train to Cork, only took twenty minutes, a nice town with good shopping, we even went in Ireland's answer to Primark. We saw the Cathedral and the Bell Tower and walked around the market hall.Read more

    Cobh

    This morning we arrived at Cobh (pronounced Cove), a charming waterfront town which has the second largest natural harbour in the world after Sydney Australia. It is also home to a museum commentating The Titanic which made its final port of call here. . We have seen memorial's to the Lusitania and the Titanic ship's along with one of a mother and her children who were apparently the first people to arrive on Ellis Island.Read more

    Dublin

    Today we have docked in Dublin, the weather is very overcast and not so warm. We have taken the shuttle bus into the city centre for a good look around. We have seen Trinity College, The Molly Malone statue,. the Temple Bar and lots more. Off back to the ship hopefully for afternoon tea.Read more

    Tobermory

    Today we are going to meet up with friends of Fi's in town, they are currently sailing on their yacht around the coast of Scotland. The weather isn't as nice today but it is still dry and the sea is still like a mill pond. We had a lovely time and saw more of the town's hidden views because we had our own tour guides. Back on board to do our fourth class and to see the magician.Read more

    Portree, Isle of Skye

    Today we anchored in the bay just outside Skye's capital Portree, the weather is glorious with clear blue sky and a sea as smooth as a mill pond. After breakfast we boarded the tender for a short trip to the shore, just about managed it by holding Fi's hand, luckily it was smooth. Portree is a beautiful little town with lots of Scottish craft shops which we have enjoyed looking around. We are about to head back to ship after an ice cream to watch the movie on the outdoor big screen. Next stop Tobermory.Read more

    Back on board at leisure.

    After returning to the ship we decided to take full advantage of the sun by going out on deck to sunbathe. We had another lovely meal in the Waterfront Restaurant and were just in time to catch a beautiful sunset.Read more
