  • Turkish meeting

    March 15, 2021 in Turkey ⋅ ⛅ 13 °C

Although all of our mobility programmes were face to face, unfortunately because of the ongoing pandemic situation all over the world, we all decided to have the last Turkish meeting of the project as virtual. Nevertheless we had great fun with very detailed virtual cultural trips full of nice photos and videos related to the worthy places in Istanbul and Turkey, prepared and conducted by the teachers. We all enjoyed the video ‘A Bird’s Eye View of Istanbul Day&Night’, watched the beauty of Istanbul as a city , and had the chance of seeing very charming day and night views of the city. Istanbul has stunning monuments and views and, wouldn't it be for the lack of the scents form the Grand Bazar or the sounds of the hustle and bustle from this huge metropolis, it would have been a perfect visit to the city. As for the robotics workshops, it was possible to have a great idea on how to work with Arduino. Also the lecture about ''Fostering student - parent - teacher effective communication'' was a plus in this programme full of interesting highlights and subtitles like Communication Ways of Students, Parents, Teachers as Individuals, analyzing the relationships between these related parties, situation in Ugur Schools and Turkey. After two workshops related to these subjects, we drew a plan of Action together in an interactive platform. We also had fun with Kahoot, an online enjoyable game, in which everybody tried to recall the information that was presented during the Mobility. The 3 days programme ended with a great Certificate Ceremony in which all the names of the participants were read aloud and their certificates were shown on the screen. Even though the mobility was virtual, the Turkish team did a great job and could engage all participants in a brilliant way. We all had a great time and learned a lot from each other through this amazing experience.Read more
