    Boston

    September 24, 2014 in the United States ⋅ ☀️ 10 °C

Our last full day in Boston and we decided to take the Old Town Trolley tour of the city. We got a really good overview of the city, which is a blend of very old and very modern architecture, all of which blends beautifully together. Beacon HIll
is the most desirable area and its residents include the Secretary of State, John Kerry. It is so pretty, with beautiful brick houses and lots of trees. We did a harbour cruise and got to see the city from the water. We had lunch at Durkin Park which is supposed to be the only restaurant that sells genuine Boston baked beans. They are quite sweet, with a flavour of treacle and cinnamon and were quite tasty, although a small serve is enough. Back to the hotel for a swim before a couple of wines and sleep, ready for the big excursion tomorrow!!

    Some photos from the baseball.
