    Friday 4th

    October 4, 2019 in Australia ⋅ ⛅ 30 °C

We lob a bag of washing into the hotel launderette and enjoy an early swim, before returning to Lizard for breakfast. The washing's dry when we get back. Andrew is collecting us at 10.45 to collect our next vehicle.

It's a 4x4, complete with tents, tables, chairs, fridge and gas rings. It takes longer than you'd expect to run through the paperwork, checks and equipment but we're done by about 12.30. Andrew takes the 4x4 and goes off to try to register our UK trailer for an Australian number plate.

We take the 8 seater and check out a few potential dinner restaurants. Cathy's Place has a great view across the river so we grab a table and order panko prawns and fish & chips. They both come out piping hot and crispy which is a winner for me!

Opening hour timings changed from the Dry to the Wet (shorter due to the heat and humidity) at the beginning of the month which is how we missed the tunnels yesterday. Today, it leaves us only just enough time to do the interesting Darwin Military Museum.

We decide to go mad tonight and treat ourselves to the famous Singapore style mud crabs at Cathy's Place! Andrew and John love them but the sauce isn't really to my taste so the chaps cheerfully scoff the extra!
