    More exploring

    October 12, 2019 in Spain ⋅ ⛅ 22 °C

On our last full day we went to Mass at 11 in Catalan. Then we joined Mark and headed out to Cala Galdana, on the south coast, which offered quite a different experience with sandy beach set in a cove surrounded by tall cliffs and some large hotel developments. Lunch of sardines with salad, finished off with ice cream was very pleasant. We finally found a small hat for baby in the sunshine.
From here we headed back and then north towards a lighthouse, which we found was 3km down a walk at the end, so didn’t actually see in the end. Next we tried the nature reserve but found the visitor centre closed so settled for a cafe at Es Grau and a paddle on the beach. All very pleasant. There’s nowhere we wouldn’t want to go back to.
Before returning to the hotel we stopped at another ancient site where there were extensive discoveries of 3 to 1 centuries bc.
For dinner we had g&t then fish and pork.
In a few days we packed a good deal, though had less time in the hotel than we might have wished.
