Arashiyama, Kyoto

We visited Gioji Buddhist Temple famous for its 17 species of moss hidden under great maple trees in a charming and original mystical zen landscape. Then on to Adashino Nenbutsuji Temple of the Prue Land Buddhist Sect filled with haunting stone monuments and images. The Thousand Lights Candle Festival held annually in August offers a candle to each of the 8000 stone Buddha images. We headed to the Togetsu-kyo Bridge spanning the Katsura River - a wooden bridge popular for period films then a wander through the backstreets of Arashiyama with enchanting garden settings, amazing dog couture and a traditional textile shop. Back to the Yakiniku restaurant - they remembered us and gave a generous pour in our 1 glass.Baca selengkapnya
