    Zwischenstopp Adeleide…

Zwischenstopp Adelaide.

Greyhound Bus obsługuje wiele miast we wschodniej części Australii w systemie hop-on hop-off. Przybywszy do Adelajdy, spędziliśmy noc w fajnym salonie.

Stopover Adelaide. After Melbourne and the "Great Ocean Road" we thought sooooo much about how we could explore as much of Australia as possible with as little money as possible. So we chose bus travel. The Greyhound Bus serves many towns in the eastern half of Australia on a hop-on hop-off system. With a corresponding ticket you can drive the bus and get on and off as often as you want, you just have to register beforehand. Unfortunately, Greyhound does not connect Melbourne to Adelaide, so we had to choose another provider for this. But that was totally fine. The price was right, the driver, Karl, was super cool, and there was still plenty of room on the bus. In Australia, the distances are not a bit comparable to Europe. The 9 hour drive to Adeleide was almost ridiculous compared to the next drive. Arrived in Adelaide we spent a night in a cool saloon accommodation. We used the day to go to the market and to chill at Queen Victoria Square to get back on the bus in the evening at 6:00 p.m. The next bus ride was with Greyhound, 21 hours long and overnight...puuuuh...that really dragged on. Everyone we told about it afterwards just laughed at us. In Germany I will never again complain that anything is too far away. Again and again these super cool road trains came towards us on the route, with at least two or three trailers. According to our driver, they are sometimes on the road with four trailers, but unfortunately we didn't see that. These trucks are really impressive like Optimus Prime 😊 Arrived in Alice Springs, we waited another 1.5 hours until our host could pick us up...we'll tell you about that in the next footprint.
