    Kilbane castle

    So despite the foggy weather we found the little road leading down to Kilbane castle. Unfortunately it’s closed now for structural repairs, and seemingly the cliff is dangerous - as 15 warning signs across the fenced off area would indicate.
    Butttt what a perfect spot completely undisturbed to park up and spend the night. By morning we had clearer views out to Rathlin island, fair head and white rock of kilbane headland. The sea of Moyle swirling in front of us, famous legends says the children of Lir when turned into swans, had to spend three hundred years on the cold straits of Moyle….

    We saw now swans, but enjoyed the sunlight like spot lights breaking down through the clouds to the headland to our east!
