    Day 10-11 Ha Long Bay

    February 25, 2017 in Vietnam ⋅ ☁️ 14 °C

Kody and I sailed through the beautiful Ha Long Bay for 2 days.
Ha Long bay means descending dragon as it is made up of mountains that are half under water and when you view it from above it looks like a dragon weaving.
Our first day it was quite misty so you couldn't see much passed the first few mountains but it was nice, a bit mysterious.

We started with a beautiful lunch then visited the Ha Long bay pearl farm where they showed us how they inseminate oysters to increase the chances of them producing pearls.

After this we went for a relaxing kayak and a few braved the cold water for a swim.
Our cruise had 19 people on it.

We finished our first day with some unsuccessful squid fishing. We used lights but there was fishing boats with industrial lights so we had no chance.

Our second day we visited the largest cave in Ha Long bay.

We finished our tour with a quick cooking class where we made fried springs rolls.

Ha long bay is very beautiful and definitely a once in a life time view.
