Sign Post Forest, Watson Lake, YT

Curiosité de Watson Lake, sa forêt de panneaux. Des panneaux (beaucoup visiblement volés) et plaques de partout dans le monde. Pour l’Europe c’est très majoritairement des plaques Allemandes (90% à vue se pif), le reste c’est tous les autres pays, avec majoritairement des suisses et hollandais. Très peu de français.

Ce lieu a commencé quand un GI a mis un panneau pointant chez lui en 1942. Depuis d’autres ce sont ajoutés et aujourd’hui il y en a plus de 88.000 !

Curiosity in Watson Lake, its Sign Post Forest. Lots of signs (probably mostly stolen) and license plates from everywhere in the world. For Europe, most of them are from Germany (I’d say about 90%), rest is mainly Swiss and Netherlands. Only a couple of french.

This place started with an homesick GI adding a sign to his hometown in 1942. Now there is more than 88.000 signs !Read more
