Within the Cocora Valley they have a colibri (hummingbirds) farm and these birds are just amazing 💕 they can get as fast as 80 wing-flapping per second. They sound like a spacescip if they are rushing past your ear. Simply amazing!

The Cocora Valley is part of the Los Nevados National Natural Park and hosts the quindio wax palm trees that can grow more than 60 m in height. The valley features a wide variety of flora and fauna and has a very nice loop-hike. Definitely a must-do!Read more

I don't know what to say about Medellin. Everyone highly recommended this city as a stop along the way and I would say that the history around and behind the whole drug cartel for sure is interesting...but a beautiful city?! Not so much. We did not try the nightlife which could be something completely different. Nevertheless we had a great day with an amazing tour guide (Julio). 😉Read more
