First Day- we have all arrived!

Suostei! After 3 flights and one very packed taxi, we have all arrived in Siem Reap and settled nicely into our guesthouse 😄🏠 We spent the afternoon exploring our surroundings on foot before we met Salin and Dara, the project manager and head teacher of Treak Community School where we will be volunteering.

As we were about to leave for dinner, it started to pour with rain so we loaded up the tuk-tuks and headed out for dinner with Salin and her husband, Michael.

It is currently the ‘Festival of the Dead’ which is one of Cambodia’s biggest celebrations, so the students will not be at school tomorrow.

We have already made so many loving friendships with others, but it’s an early night for us as we take a walk back to our guesthouse through pub street to catch up on the jet lag! ✈️😴Read more
