    Day 1 living the city

    September 10, 2019 in Italy ⋅ ⛅ 18 °C

    Walking around! First impressions
    - Igreja de São Domingos, not as ostentatious as the conventional Church, but full of charm!
    - Praça Dom Pedro, love the road paving.
    - Sardines world, nice to see, but very touristic shop;
    - Convento do Carmo, destroyed after the earthquake of the 1755 the church’s roof is the sky! After visiting it and the small museum inside stop for a drink at Quiosque do Carmo, and relax yourself!
    - Rua Nova do Carvalho. The pink street of Lisbon, we didn’t stop there, but if you love canned sardines stop at Pesca e Sol for an alternative dinner!
    - a romantic walk across the Tago during the sunset! The best for prepare your stomach for a Portuguese dinner
    - dinner at Faca & Garfo, it was warmly recommended by Lonely Planet and TripAdvisor. Honestly the dinner was good, but nothing special, the restaurant inside is small and typical. They offer some food as starter, we decided to taste everything but without seeing prices.
At the end the price was quite expensive for what we have eaten.
I would say it’s a touristic place, but I don’t know if i will suggest it
    - Elevador de Santa Just by night! Super recommended! If you buy the Lisboa Card the entrance it’s free, you will also have free metro and bus and some discounts for other attractions. We made the 72 hours card, we paid 42 euros per each but it worth!
Lisbon from the top with all the lights on it’s phenomenal ❤️ that was the first moment we fell in love with the city!

    Day 2, Oceanario area

    September 11, 2019 in Portugal ⋅ 🌙 17 °C

We went to visit the Lisbon’s Oceanario in the morning, just after the open hour, it’s better if you want to avoid a long queue.
The major attraction is the big aquarium, but also the other part deserve a visit if you love the sea 😊.
Later we decide to get on the Vasco de Gama’s cableway for having a better view of the bridge, the tower. The view from the top it’s amazing and the price it’s only 4€ per each person ( with the Lisboa card we had a 10% discount).
After a walk in the Parque das Nações ( the modern part of the city) we choose to go back to the Oriente Station ( famous for the architecture) for having lunch close to the Belèm Tower

    Day 2 Belém Area

    September 11, 2019 in Italy ⋅ ⛅ 17 °C

Lunch at Cafe do Forte, delicious club sandwich and lovely view of the Belèm Tower!
After recovering the energy we started our walk!
First of all we took some pictures of the Belèm Tower. We were intent to visit also the inside, but the queue was huge, the sun was extremely hot, su we headed to Padrão dos Descobrimentos, then we reached the Monastero dos Jerónimos, but always because the heat and the long queue (there were many touristic bus) we didn’t visit it inside.
Because it was time for a Snack we went to the Historical “Pastéis de Belèm ”.
There are 2 lines, one for take away and one for sitting. At least here we were lucky, non people waiting to be seated. We ordered two pastéis each and a coffe! They were good, but not the best! I will reveal you later which were the best 😋
We decided to continue our walk till the Maat museum, and his viewpoint!
Before dinner time wanted to have a look of Lisbon from the top of the Miradouro da Graça, with all the lights on the city it’s romantic and unmissable!

    Day 3

    September 12, 2019 in Italy ⋅ ☀️ 21 °C

We started our day early because we planned to get on the historic metro n. 28.
The first ride is at 8.30 am and if you go to the first stop at Martim Moniz it’s easier to find a seat!
We decided to get off close the Chiado Square and walk to Elevador da Bica and Elevador da Gloria.
After took some pictures we went down hill, direction Hard Rock Cafe Lisbon where we bought a T-shirt.
The long walk made us feel hungry and Pastéis de Nata was close to us! Those were definitely the best! Cheap and crunchy! They only cost € 1,00 each! Absolutely APPROVED 😊
Our next destination was Praça do Comércio, and the walk along the Tago where an local artist makes sculpture with stones!
For lunch we stopped at Landeau Caffè, the best chocolate cake in Town, you really feel at home!
Our day continued with a visit of the Castello di San Jorge, what we enjoyed most was the view of the city and the wall walk.
Because the Cathedral was not to far and still open we went there for visiting it inside.
With the sunset it was the best period to stop for a while at Two famous Miradouro: Santa Luzia and Portas do Sol!

    Day 4

    September 13, 2019 in Portugal ⋅ ☀️ 25 °C

For our last Portugal day we decided to take the trains from Rossio Station to Sintra! If you have the Lisbon Card the trip is free!
It takes 25 minute (more or less) to get to Sintra!
Once there we bought a bus ticket valid all the long that gives you the chance to reach palazzo de Pena and then move to Cabo the Roca and Cascais! A perfect trip for one day!
Unfortunately because a high fire risk the Palazzo’s Garden was closed and the queue for visit the inside was terrible! More than an our under a hot sun!
Because of that we decided to see the Castle only from the street.
We visited Sintra city center and we had a lovely lunch at tasca Saloia! Really nice
In the early afternoon we moved to Cabo the Roca! If you love nature, cliffs, lighthouse and see you definitely have to come here!
Our last stop was Cascais an unexpected beautiful sea town! We definitely fell in love!
We went visited “Boca do inferno” and after taking some picture we decided to have dinner at 21 wine is food!
The atmosphere was lovely and so was the food and the wine! Really recommended!
We took the train to go back to Lisbon and we had our last romantic walk in this amazing city that has a special place in our heart!
