    Granville

    August 7, 2016 in France ⋅ ☀️ 24 °C

Granville was our last stop before our next home exchange in Guer. We went to the lighthouse at the end of the cliff with views of the far away Brittany and the Mont Saint Michel bay. This red lighthouse is really pretty, but there are few more to see from there aswell. The view is really great, as you can see the ocean from every side of the hill and feel how small you are compared to the greatness of the ocean.

You can still see the remains of nazi bunkers here and there. Some are now transformed into a military radar station and a lookout for the French army. You can also see the stranded boats in the bay when the tide comes. It's amazing how the sea gets so low and high, it amazes me every time.

Granville really is a charming city (with a little busy roads, tho). Reminded me of Arcadia Bay from Life is Strange (for those who know the game) ☺
