Final Views of Iceland

The drive from that little 'blue lagoon' to the airport was uneventful. The journey along the southern coast was not all that inspiring, though one section was through a geo park where there were the remnants of volcanic eruptions, lava fields and classic-shaped volcanic cones all dusted in icing-sugar. Rob thought this was brilliant and took a few photos from the car as the landscape slid by. Then we were at the airport, right on time.

Traveler Thanks to everyone for the comments and likes as we have travelled, and after our return too. Many of you simply watched what we were up to and have made comments to us when we chatted with you in the following weeks. We really enjoyed doing this blog, choosing the photos from the phone and discussing what we'd tell you about each day. It was an amazing trip filled with visual delights and wonderful experiences. We are so lucky to have seen and done what this trip gave to us. Truly awesome.
