A Morning in New Delhi

We setoff on a quiet Sunday morning to explore some lesser known sites. It was a great way to see the City and appreciate this beautiful and complex area. We first headed for a morning stroll through Lodhi Park where many of the city reaidents come to walk, do yoga, or setup for a family park day. We then paid our respects to Gandhi viewing his memorial. Our next site is Humayun's Tomb a world heritage site - interesting this was built by a muslim woman who gained much power after the death of her husband. We then visited the bustling Gurudwara Bangla Sahib Sikh Temple where people come together to feed over 25,000 people every day, give thanks to the guru's and bathe in holy water.Read more
