Kana Day Two

After a lovely breakfast, we set out on foot to the Jageshwar temple with our new friend and guide Mayank. It was a lovely 2 hour hike through the local villages and into a sacred forest before we came upon the temple. Mayank did a fantastic job pointing out important sites along the way and made sure that Christina didnt miss any of the local animals! Pujan decided to get him some cool blue shades to reward his excellent guiding skills.

Outside of the Jageshwar temple, Pugan purchased us traditional offerings and we entered into the temple to receive a blessing and take in all of the history and culture. Our foreign status and unique hair color made us quite the celebrities - and we were asked continuously for pictures! Once through our driver picked us up and we drove back to the Kana house for a Burmese lunch (fantastic!!).

We spent the afternoon playing Carrom, Scrabble, and learning new card games! We retired early to prepare for our early departure and long, long,....long drive to the local airport.Read more
