Last Campsite in Alberta on a Saturday

    August 4, 2019 in Canada ⋅ ⛅ 63 °F

After driving 9 long hours we finally arrived at Gregg Lake Campgroud. This was our 3rd campground attempt, with all being full.

At Gregg Lake, Russ asked the registration clerk if there are any sites available? The conversation went like this...
    "Are you from States?"
    "Yes, how did you know?"
"You are aware that this is a Canadian long weekend?"
    "So I've been told."
"You are aware that is very unlikely that you will find a campsite in Canada on a Saturday without a reservation."
"Yes, I'm aware. Do you happen to have a cancellation?"
"Let me look. Looks like your lucky day, we have one cancellation."
"Thank you. It's better to lucky than good."

We are trying to be near to Jasper National Park so that we can try to grab a campsite tomorrow.

Dined on "poor man's" lobster and steak. Poor man's lobster is halibut cooked in salt and suger that tastes just like lobster. Yummy 🙂
