    Hook Island

    March 29, 2019 in Australia ⋅ ⛅ 26 °C

We moored up in a sheltered spot near Hook Island where we spent the night. It was Fizz Friday which we enjoyed with our ship mates. Again a super meal prepared by Ellie and Stu, our crew. STeak with mushroom sauce, mash and fresh vegetables. Ellie then made chocolate brownie which we all had to stay up for, as it took longer to cook than she had thought and we were all ready for bed. We'd had a busy day and so much sea air.
At night fall we saw a beautiful night sky followed by more activity in the sea. This time the predator fish were much bigger - Great Trevally - (check out BBC Big Blue 2 opening sequence program 1) - we watched these big fish circle the boat looking for smaller fish to eat, at one point there were eight of them hunting in a line , quite magical, -when they broke water the splash was loud.
After a while the clouds cleared and we had a great view of the stars and the Milky Way so we lay on the trampoline at the front of the boat for a time just to take in the beauty and tranquility of it all. Absolutely magical!!!
