    Loch Slapin

    May 25, 2019 in Scotland ⋅ 🌧 9 °C

We visited the House ruins at Armadale to view the museum covering the Clan MacDonald, the premier family in the middle ages and provided the Lords of the Isles.
The museum was very interesting and is set in the grounds of a once grand house which has fallen to ruin. There would have been grand views across the water to the mainland but it was barely discernible within the drizzle and rain. The loan of a mobility scooter meant that Karen could access everything. She got up some speed on the scooter as her confidence grew!!!! Is this the way to go?
We drove around to Loch Slapin via beautiful countryside to spend the night overlooking the bay. The tops of the hills were shrouded in cloud and some brave souls were engaged in an organised run in the valley beside us. This is a truly beautiful area of Scotland - just such a shame that we can only see some of it!!!!!!
