    Swansea Bay

    October 28, 2019 in Wales ⋅ ☁️ 9 °C

Wrapping up warm we set our bikes up and cycled across the peninsula via a disused railway which has been turned into a cycle path. We passed many people out exercising their dogs and popped out of the woods half way between Swansea city and the Mumbles.
We cycled to Swansea first and had a quick look at what it had to offer in the cbd - much the same as anywhere else but it does have a very good indoor market.
We pottered for a bit then cycled along the bay to The Mumbles where we had a walk along the bay front to see the pier with a spanking new lifeboat station housing a shiny Tamar class lifeboat. The boat can carry 44 people in it and turn itself upright if overturned or up to 114 without this facility - nos 45-114 have to hang on outside the cabins.
Returning to Chloe we enjoyed a lovely casserole from the slow cooker we charged up prior to going out for the day.
