    Cenote Cristilino

    June 15, 2015 in Mexico ⋅ ⛅ 25 °C

A relaxing day today swimming at a nearby cenote- Cenote Cristilino. The rain has finally ended.. Hurray! Cenotes are naturally formed freshwater pools where caves of soft limestone have collapsed and exposed the freshwater rivers within. The water is crystal clear. This one wasn't quite as cave like or spectacular as we were expecting but still a fun day taking underwater photos- we discover that Trav is very skilled at holding his breath and sitting underwater! Wei needs more practice :-)

The cenote also had the added bonus of hundreds of little fish acting like a fish spa when you keep your legs still in the water.. tickles like crazy!

We end the day with our obligatory 2 for 1 cocktails and cheap eats back at Playa Del Carmen. And watching Game of Thrones in our hotel room!
