    Whistler - Victoria

    May 4, 2018 in Canada ⋅ ☁️ 13 °C

Hello again! We went to Whistler via Kamloops and Vancouver yesterday. We went a different way as they had a mud slide on the road somewhere. Craig said it was an avalanche. On our way we stopped at Shannon Falls, a spectacular waterfall, in the town of Squamish. It cascades down 335 metres. It’s British Columbia’s 3rd tallest fall. Whistler hosted the 2010 Winter Olympics. It has a pedestrian only village, lots of shops and restaurants. Today we drove to Victoria, Canada’s capital city. It’s on Vancouver Island, so we had to cross over by ferry ⛴ from Horseshoe Bay. It took an hour and a half to cross over. We saw some whales on the way. In Whistler we stayed at the Hilton, we were supposed to stay somewhere else, I don’t know why they changed. In Victoria we are at the Grand Hotel, here is a picture from our window. We’re going for a walk soon so I may add more pictures. We had dinner in Chinatown, in a cute little restaurant. The city looks beautiful when all the lights are on (all the cities do). Tomorrow we go on our horse and carriage ride. Jen, I have a special bear for you (was at the Hilton Hotel). Love and miss everyone 😘😘😘Read more
