    Istanbul

    October 5, 2018 in Turkey ⋅ 🌙 17 °C

I've spent my last travelling days in Istanbul. It's a totally different world from all those places I've been to on this trip around the globe.
And somehow it feels a bit like home. I've been to a lot of Arabic countries by now, you find Döner kebab everywhere and there are a lot of Germans around.
Still it is an exiting city!
I've visited the Hagia Sofia, an impressive church/mosque that is now a museum. Also I've been to the Blue Mosque and the Cistern Basilica. The food was delicious and I shopped many souvenirs :D
At night I walked through the crowded streets around Taksim-Square - this city is so vibrant!

Two days were definitely not enough but (like many other places that I've seen) I'm pretty sure I'll come back here one day..
