Day 94: Last Day in Pai

    September 18, 2016 in Thailand ⋅ 🌫 23 °C

Slightly special day today - it's 100 days since we left Sydney on our new life adventure! Hard to believe that it's gone so fast, but thinking back, Darwin and Indonesia feel like an awfully long time ago!

Today was our last day in Pai and the last full day in Thailand, but again we didn't really do all that much. Shandos did some working and I did some online stuff - have been playing a few online games in all my spare time! Did some Skyping as well.

Went back to the hippie place (Om Garden Cafe) for lunch, and enjoyed a quesadilla while Shandos had another salad. And we bought an enormous slice of carrot cake for afternoon tea. Back to the room where we continued writing, relaxing, reading and working until we decided to head out for our last night. Figured we had to do the typical thing and have traditional Thai food at a cheap restaurant for dinner, so we did! I had a chicken cashew nut stir fry, while Shandos had a chicken pad thai. After dinner we had a quiet beer at a deserted resort bar overlooking the river, which had a frighteningly strong current after yesterday's heavy rain.

Back to the room and early to bed, as we've got a 10am bus back to Chiang Mai in the morning. Heavy rain started not long after we went to bed.
