Day 150: Moving Hotels

Day off today. Shandos has booked a review stay at a resort about 10 minutes out of town called The Funny Lion Inn. So we checked out of our hotel and awaited our pickup at 1pm. I spent most of the time organising videos and preparing for my snorkelling Palawan video. By 2pm the transfer still hadn't arrived, so we ended up just taking a tricycle instead.

The new hotel is beautiful, high up on the cliffs and with a big infinity pool and a spa. We had a great room too, at the front of the hotel looking over the jungle and some water glimpses. Lovely large king-sized bed and big bathroom with proper facilities - quite a change from the budget accommodation we're used to!

Spent most of the afternoon in the pool, then had 2-for-1 cocktails on the deck before dinner. All cocktails and the food were very tasty; I had pork ribs and Shandos had a grilled fish. Retired early as we'd had a few too many cocktails!Read more
