    Cabo de Gato, Puerto Genoves

    April 15, 2018 in Spain ⋅ ☀️ 16 °C

So we have finally moved on, we left Almerimar this morning, well it was actually about 11:15 by the time we got water fuel and paid up. We headed East along the coast past Rocquettes, Agua Dulce and Almeria and are now anchored up on the eastern edge of the Cabo de Gato near San Jose. It isn’t the calmest Anchorage we have been in but neither is it the worst. The trip wasn’t as calm as I would have liked for our first trip in almost 5 months but hey at least we could leave. Tomorrow we plan on heading towards Aguilar further East, running away from the strong winds that are predicted for this weekend in the South, the forecast for north of Alicante is much nicer than for here so hopefully we get that far. Anyway here are photos of Almerimar and the anchorage we are in now. Not to make you jealous but I think I will need to apply a little after sun to John’s face.Read more
