On On to Wellington!

Yesterday, we got the girls back to the house just before a Kiwi living in Aussie and an Aussie living in Kiwi showed up. The six of us popped down to Hot and Cold for a nice soak in the geothermal water, then swung by to see the boiling mud. Soon after we got back, Xerox's amazing kids came over for the evening, along with another hasher from a bit further north. We had a delicious barbeque meal and great conversation!

Today, we had a huge breakfast and left in a caravan of four cars and a motorcycle around 0930-1000. Today's destination is the capital Wellington. I think the hash is on tonight!

Now, I'm riding with Short Planks, and we're already having a hoot of a time.

P.S.: Just after noon, we stopped on the roadside in Tongariro National Park, a high desert, to take pictures of Mt. Ruapehu (left, with snow) and Mt. Ngauruhoe (right, volcano, and Mount Doom in the "Lord of the Rings" movies). So very beautiful!!!Read more
