    Anuradhapura

    I'm sorry for the late update but we are so busy all the time :-)

    Anurapadhura is one part of the famous Cultural Triangle in Sri Lanka. It belongs to the UNESCO. We visited the temples by bike, so were more independent. It was an adventure, because the bikes were not in the condition we're used to in Switzerland and the streets were sometimes very dangerous, especially in the evening, there was a lot of traffic All the local people wear white clothes around the temples and stupas. We learnt its because they want to be equal, no matter rich or poor. Sometimes the people want to take selfies or photos with us, especially the young girls are fascinated of us. Furthermore we visited the oldest tree called Bodhi tree. A lot of local families were sitting underneath the tree and worshipped.Read more
