A rare overcast day in Colorado Springs ... though the sun did peek out occasionally as it is doing now. As unexciting as the weather was, so was our day. A typically routine day.

We had some travel odds and ends lying around, so after breakfast, I went downstairs to what I call the travel storage room ... located under the staircase. All are put away now ... the luggage back where it belongs.

After our morning walk up to and around the neighborhood lake, we each set about doing our own thing.

For Mui, that involved a bit of work in the kitchen.

I sat at my desk and processed photos from our 2017 voyage around the world ... 14 days down ... 166 more days to go. The advantage of coming back to the thousands of photos from that adventure now is that my emotional attachment to them is not as strong and I am finding it easier to toss a lot more of them in the virtual trash bin.

That's it ... hey, I did say it was a routine day ;-)

All in all ... a good day.

Traveler Great day plans. I am thinking that maybe April would be a good time for me to think about doing some photo purging as well. Although for us, April involves lots of fun yard stuff if the weather cooperates...and there is always the big quilt I am working on. Another thing we talked about today with each other. News about thousands of Americans who are still caught overseas and the state department is trying to get them home. We thought it interesting that two of our best friends who made it home, you and my friend Jeanne who was in Indonesia, got back into the US. The interesting part is that these two friends and their spouses are the most well traveled people we know. Smart travelers who know how to handle the hard stuff.

Two to Travel I think the most important thing was that we did not delay our departure back to the US. Believe me ... it was tempting to take a wait and see attitude as we began discussing it all during the cruise. But by the time we got to Turkey, it became a no brainer to leave ASAP. Staying calm during the travel days — especially when we found out we couldn't fly to Houston — saved our bacon. Thank goodness also for T-Mobile as we did not have to worry about finding a wi-fi connection to get online work done to change our plans.

Two to Travel As the days warm up here it's going to be more difficult for me to spend time at my desk purging photos and the like ... so best get started now.
