Day 2 has gone better than yesterday. I started my day with breakfast of apple filled crepes and hot tea before heading into town to the tour operators office. After finding the office and confirming in person, I measured around town until it was time to board the motor coach. I wandered into the Aran Sweater shop and watched an informative narrative about how the wool is dyed. Next, it was time to board the motor coach and start the scenic Ring of Kerry drive. The first stop had us sipping either Irish Coffee or Baileys Coffee. The Baileys was my go-to and it didn’t disappoint. The sweet creamieness of the Baileys and Cream was just enough. Next we continued onward and made stops along the way before stopping for lunch at a restaurant with an amazing view of the barrier peninsula. I ordered the Bacon and Cabbage which isn’t bacon but more of a tenderloin slice. For dessert I had carrot cake with sweet cream sauce. The last stop on our tour took us to Tock Falls for a photo opportunity. Back in town, I stopped by Olde Swet Shoppe and had two scoops of devine ice cream with liquor. Yes, the ice cream was made with liquor in it. And was it yummy! By this part of the day, y back was pretty tweaked up, so I walk back to my hotel and ended my day of exploration with 2 night time Tylenol and a Coke.Read more
