    Olifantsrus

    July 28, 2017 in Namibia ⋅ ☀️ 24 °C

We spent our last night in Etosha at Olifantsrus. Built in 1983, as an elephant abattoir to process the carcasses of the culled elephants.

So ... We arrived at around 14h30, and as we were camping in the "overflow" area - the area used by the Day Visitors - we left our table and chairs to reserve our spot. However, when we returned to camp some one had put up their tent in our spot and had made themselves very comfortable using our chairs and table 😨😠 ... WHO DOES THAT? Even when the camp attendant told them that the space was reserved and the items belonged to other visitors, they took no notice ...

Try as I might, I cannot even begin to comprehend the type of people these were ... Turns out they were German visitors😬. When they returned to their spot, now minus the comfortable camp chairs and table, they didn't even have the courtesy to apologise or acknowledge their mistake .... I guess it takes all types ☺
