SPRING MOUNTAIN RESORT & COUNTRY CLUB

Pahrump Nevada is the home of the Spring Mountain Motorsports Ranch, a race track that hosts various driving schools and is home to a private motorsports country club.

The track length of 6.1 miles consists of various configurations and is the longest road course in North America.

The Ron Fellows High Performance Corvette Driving School is one of the main events hosted at the track and that’s why Cecil and I are here. Cecil bought a 2018 Z06 back in November and was given the opportunity to attend by GM as part of the purchase offer.

Cecil and I are learning lots from in classroom instruction about the 2018 Z06, its 5 driving modes and 6 traction performance modes, 8 steps to cornering, launch control, how to utilize throttle and braking to do the apex on corners, the incredible PDR (Performance Data Recorder), etc. etc. Much of this information can transfer to everyday driving.Read more
