Juhuiiii, endlich ist auch Melanie hier! Wir holten sie gestern am Flughafen in Broome ab. Nun ist das Trio wieder komplett. Wir sind nun in der Hälfte unserer Reise und es ist Zeit, unsere „ Claire“ vom roten Staub zu befreien, rauszuputzen und mit allem aufzufüllen für die weitere Reise ins Outback. Danach fuhren wir an den Strand. Am Cablebeach in Broome geht man mit seinem 4x4 Car an den Strand, macht ein BBQ, trinkt einen gutem Wein, und geniesst den Sonnenuntergang. Traumhaft! Und das Beste: es ist langsam richtig schön warm!Read more

Today we have arrived in Broome. There is a beach 🏝 called Cable Beach. In Broom there is an amazing 😉 crocodile park; it’s got crocs (obviously), tawny frog mouths birds, even macaws and lots more! I love Broome because you can ride camels 🐪 which we did in our Kimberley trip. Tomorrow we are going to the crocodile park; and after we are going straight to Cable Beach 🏖 to have dinner, sun-set photos, a swim and look for animals in rock pools. Today we went swimming and looking for animals in rock pools as well. 😁😀😄🤩 On the way here we stopped in front of HUGE boab trees 🌳. Tonight we are watching Australian Ninja Warrior and half of the movie 🎥 storks. Good night everybody!Read more

Japanese Cemetery

This was a Japanese cemetery commemorating the lives of the early Japanese pearl divers that were lost at sea or drowned as they harvested pearls from the ocean floor.
Apparently this style of cemetery is traditional in the used the headstones as well as the orderly placement of the graves.
The last photo in the sequence Ishtar busiest and best coffee cart in Broome...actually pretty sure it is the only one.Read more
