      Brisbane

      March 31, 2022 in Australia ⋅ ⛅ 25 °C

After a very busy 10 days touring Tassie we came up to Brisbane to stay with some friends and spend the week doing very little. We took the time to enjoy some good food, a lot of wine and some great company. We did manage to drag ourselves away from the home comforts of their amazing pad in the suburbs of Brisbane to go and check out Australia Zoo, the spiritual home of Steve Irwin. Apparently he is not well known in France, bit he is an absolute legend. We got to see his son do the famous croc feeding, pretty special. It was a quiet day at the zoo and we managed to speak with a few keepers who could give us more information on the koalas and other animals, it was incredible! We also booked a wombat encounter as wombats seem to avoid us in the wild! It was fun! Wombats are not very soft and she was very focused on food ☺️, we also go to hand feed a giraffe, also not very soft and very interested in the food.

Luckily Brisbane Lions the Australian Rules Football team were at playing at home on the weekend so we took the opportunity to indulge in some proper Australian culture. It's a pretty fun, full on game, lots of action but the pitch is massive so it's tough to see what's going on when the action is up the other end.

Brisbane has been very relaxing and we feel full recharged and ready to get back out on the road.
