Fingal, established 1827 as a convict station, with strong evidence of its heritage, lies in the heart of the Fingal Valley. It is a small sleepy town west of St Mary's and the drive is through beautiful farmland with abundant beef cattle , sheep and spray irrigation.
Viewed from the township is Ben Lomond National Park , a craggy alpine plateau that is Tasmania's answer to the ski runs of Aspen. From the road we could see the last of winter snows - an engaging site to see.Read more
