    Weekend in Launie with Dan

    August 12, 2017 in Australia ⋅ ⛅ 10 °C

Flew from Flinders Island to Launceston yesterday with Steve. We went and had a lovely couple's massage at Insparations then I put Steve back on the plane as he is heading to New Caledonia again for a hunting trip.
Then headed to Inkorporated for the last addition of my back tattoo masterpiece done by Jen. Very happy with it.
After that headed to Poimena and spent the evening with Dan.
Saturday Dan and I went to Deloraine so he could play with the Hillwood Sharks to defeat the Deloraine Roos 35-53 points 👍🏉
Friend Jodie was there too so we had a catch up in the warm car- it was wet and cold outside.
Saturday night- tea with the Bennets . Jane was there too to catch up with me.
Sunday - easy day having tea with the Underwoods before an early night for tomorrow's early morning

This my 10th camp as medical support and probably my last. I do a shift all of the 3 days. I've loved doing it, watching the Grammar students adapt and bond with their Camper child is very special. All my boys have done this camp.

"The Children’s Holiday Camp Program is a unique respite program that sees high school and university students take on the responsibility for the care of children with special needs, allowing their families to have a valuable weekend off.

    Having fun

    December 14, 2018 in Australia ⋅ ☀️ 23 °C

The most remarkable element of the Holiday Camp Program is the far-reaching effect it has on the student companions, staff, younger pupils, parent volunteers, families of the children with special needs and of course, the children themselves.Read more
