Paluma park and Mission beachApril 25 in Australia ⋅ 🌧 26 °C
This is our last few nights of Van Life and it ended in beauty: two days of full on clouds and rain! It doesn't seem to be an issue for the Australians though, even under the rain they go and swim in the little creeks and swimming pools, whereas we turn up in our Rian coats feeling only a little out of place.
We headed up to Paluma National park to check out Crystal Creek, a very nice series of waterfalls with crystal clear water with swimming holes the whole way down. There were flood warnings on the road the entire drive and the currents were meant to be strong so we didn't jump in, although the locals didn't seem to mind.
Our second stop was mission beach, a cute little town by the beach that has well maintained boarded walls and nice coffee shops. The walk along the beach was interesting as we walked in a dense rainforest, but can hear and smell the beach that is just a meter away!Read more
