    Sunday is a hashing day!

    November 18, 2018 in Australia ⋅ ⛅ 20 °C

Yesterday afternoon and evening was terrific. Dinner was catered by the venue, and we were able to get the karaoke machine working. It was all down hill from there.

Right now, we're packing up to head home. A great weekend with great old friends and many new old friends.

So long [for now] and thanks for all the fish. ✌️

    Saturday is a hashing day!

    November 17, 2018 in Australia ⋅ ⛅ 19 °C

On the way down, we stopped to see Old Blotchy, a gigantic spotted gum tree. Then we had lunch with some others near the venue.

Right now, I'm having a quiet rest before trail begins.

    Mogo Zoo was awesome.

    April 12, 2018 in Australia ⋅ ☀️ 25 °C

It was so hard to choose only 6 photos! There were lots of unusual and endangered or just cute animals at Mogo Zoo yesterday.

Ruby couldn't choose a favourite but she loved feeding the giraffes and deer. We both did. The giraffe's tongue was huge! It was rough and hurt our hands a little bit. Such a cool experience! Sam's favourite was the moustache monkey (Emperor Tamarin)- they looked a bit like the Lorax, small, cute but pretty fierce when they were wrestling each other! Mum and Dad liked the binturong, an animal we'd never seen before. It's a bear cat that climbs, swims and eats fruit. The most amazing thing is that it does a wee to mark its territory and the stuff smells like popcorn! We could smell popcorn around the enclosure. Weird!

And we always love meerkats... The lookout ones are so alert and quick, and at Mogo Zoo the young ones were wrestling and playing dead!
Then... Back on the road towards Canberra!

    Mogo, Australia

    April 22, 2016 in Australia ⋅ ☁️ 17 °C

Lovely little town with lots of gorgeous little shops. Got myself a couple of new rings. I usually just look and admire because they are so expensive or way too small. But I managed to find two I liked and only $80 for both!

The purple one is Mojave turquoise and seems only fitting seeing as how the news that Prince died today came through the news this morning. The red one is ruby.
