      Hamilton Island - Passage Peak

      September 8, 2020 in Australia ⋅ ⛅ 21 °C

On our second day we hiked up the Passage Peak, the highest point of Hamilton Island. But because the weather has changed dramatically it was very windy and wet today. When we arrived at the peak we couldn't see anything and got a shower for free. Nevertheless we waited and we're lucky because suddenly we were able to get some amazing views. We were even able to see Whitehaven Beach in the far distance.
The rest of the day we enjoyed the pool and our resort before we had to leave the island in the late afternoon.

      Living it up Day 2

      October 25, 2023 in Australia

      Another day in paradise.

It was so great here, we decided to stay another night.

We started the morning with bakery and then a walk to Passage Peak. The highest point on Hamilton Island.

The kids or should I say Lachlan was not happy about the walk, but he did it, it was extremely steep! But the view was well worth it. 360 degree views of Hamilton Island.

After the walk, Brett let the kids have a drive of the buggy, making their day.

We spent the day relaxing by the pool and having a few drinkies before heading to the tavern for a snitty!

In the arvo we had to duck to the shops, Brett sprung it on me that I had to drive! So I took the buggy for a spin. In this instant, I decided, this is where I am going to retire and I need a buggy. So much fun!

Island life is for me, cruisen, swimming, snorkeling, drinking, eating! What a life!

      Living in Luxury

      October 25, 2023 in Australia ⋅ ☀️ 24 °C

      Day 5:

Our big boat looked tiny birthed in the marina, but we’re still living in luxury. We had a big day planned, but first up was the walk up to Passage Peak that Lachie and I had been dreading. The walk was to the highest point on the island and gave a 360 degree view of the passage, and the surrounding islands.

Since we hired the buggy, Lachie and I have been asking to drive it. As it was our last day on the island, Dad let us drive it. Lachie and I were pumped. Lachie drove first and he took it slow because he didn’t want to break it, but once he was done it was my turn. I put the pedal to the metal and Lachie said he was scared because I was going so fast, it felt like it was going tip when I turned.

After Lachie and I drove the golf buggy we went to get our stuff so we could go for a swim, but before we could go for a swim, we had to drop off the buggy😢😢. After going for a swim and having to take the shuttle bus back, I felt like a peasant.

By the time we got back from a swim it was time to go up and have dinner at the Tavern that overlooked our birthing in the marina.
