Flug gut überstanden und obwohl wir 20 Minuten zu spät ankamen und ich dementsprechend spät in die Vermietungsstation kam, hab ich mein Auto doch noch bekommen. :-)
Ein kleiner Travelpod, ganz neu im Sortiment, der sich wirklich gut fahren lässt! Es ist der gleiche Fahrzeugtyp wie mein letzter Van, aber moderner und ohne hohes Dach. Und Automatik und Rückfahrkamera im Rückspiegel integriert!
Bin sehr begeistert und hoffe, dass er mich gut durch die Gegend bringt.Read more

Spending time with Oli and Lea is wonderful, I could seriously get used to that. I had to babysit Lea for an hour, I mean, had to is the wrong expression, I loved it, she is such a sweet girl and we get along very well. Over an another coffee in Freo, short for Fremantle, Olimpia told me about a walk from 'cape to cape' in the south. A 150km walk on beaches with stunning views, wandering through forests with huge trees. That sounded awesome and of course I was very enthusiastic about it. Since it's Easter holiday and everything is booked out it will not be for me this time. But in case you plan a trip here, that's a thing to do.Read more

Fews weeks in Perth

Mostly worked those weeks, mainly construction job. Next Monday I start to work as a carpenter for a french guy. Still some nice sunset everyday with more and more friend on this parking

Fremantle was a cool place. It was like Perth but a bit quieter. They had a lot to see like the Fremantle prison and the boating history. The prison was pretty significant, it was in the middle of town and there where caves that where underneath it that you could go in with a tour guide. Unfortunately we couldn’t do it because they where under renovations but we did get to see inside of the prison and the cells and church. We also went to Rottnest island and saw the cute animals called Quokkas. The island was really pretty and had a lighthouse at the top that was built in the 1800s. Overall the place was a cool place to stay at and enjoyed everything it had to offer.Read more

Corrigin, Narrogin, Williams and Kojonup

It seems we are in the Gin (more alcohol names for you) area for names. Then we move onto UP names. Williams is just there to throw you.
Coming from Hyden we spent a few nights in Corrigin before going to Narrogin and day tripping to Williams to see the big Numbat.
From Narrogin we go to Kojonup for a few nights then onto Thomson Brook Winery (which is free to stay if you are self contained as long as you buy a bottle of wine or port)
We headed to Fremantle to do some touristy things.

Slept in then rode into main part of town looked at famous Freo markets - but not much chop😳heaps of tourists everywhere. Looked at markets near harbour as well then to Freo prison. Looked around then rode to Bathers beach for late seafood lunch ! Sat there all arvo and watched the sunset ! Rode home- lovely arvo .Read more

Drove 30 mins to lake Clifton to see the famous Thrombolites ( living rock formation organism 3,000 years old) pretty amazing to see as never heard of them before. Looked at the wooden giants made by a local artist using all recycled timber ( has over 100 in the world and 6 in Mandurah). Has put them in hard to find places to make people walk and look at local scenery trying to find them.Found 3 then looked around town centre and marina area - some areas very old and dodgy with other spots with glam houses😧.back to Falcon walked to local pub for dinner and trivia- came 6th out of 13 teams- not too shabby. Onto Freemantle

Left Mandurah and drove 1 hour to Freemantle. Looked around harbour area then checked into Freemantle village - about 4 kms out of town and easy bike ride. Rode into main area and looked at Round House - oldest building in WA where they still fire at cannon every day at 1 like they used to in olden days to help the ships check their time. Looked at Bathers Beach and South Beach- even have a sauna on grass area for people to use before have a swim.Got sushi then onto little creatures brewery. Had a beer then rode back. Phil had a meeting with an IBC guy so I explored around near the caravan park . Walked along the river ended up at the Ascot kayak club - was so pretty. Had a coffee overlooking the Swan river. Met up with Phil then kept walked.Quiet arvo then Uber to CAS to try our luck🤞no good for me 😓Read more
