Day trip from Weldborough to Pyengana it is only a 30km drive on one of the windiest roads we have been on. (we need to bring the van the same way tomorrow to get to Bay of Fires)
There were three things we wanted to do in Pyengana. The St Columba Falls, The Pub in the Paddock and the Pyengana Dairy Company.
Firstly the falls grade 2 walk with a moderate uphill walk on the return. The falls are one of the tallest in Tasmania. They have never been known to run dry. They are magnificent.
We then went to the dairy and watched them make some cheese. Bought some chocolate and milk. Then went to the pub for lunch. It is a beautiful pub with a couple of fire places to keep you warm. Mark really liked his scallops.Read more
